I support petition calling for a review of TAN8

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to support the petitions that call for a review of TAN8 and an examination of traffic movements in Mid Wales.

My reason for this is because I’m totally opposed to the industrialisation of Mid Wales. This is an area of outstanding natural beauty and TAN8 has a total disregard for the visual amenity. 600ft pylons will ruin the countryside and the area will be blighted – say goodbye to tourism. Nobody will want to live in the area so shops and businesses will disappear along with jobs. House prices will plummet and the area will go into decline.

No environmental impact study has been done on the consequences of TAN8 or an assessment of the cumulative effects on the landscape – destroyed forests, increased flooding potential, affects on roads and impact of massive slow loads on the transport infrastructure.
